Today we are revealing Pera Coda, an isometric narrative mystery adventure set in a surreal reimagining of 1980s Istanbul. You play as Deniz, a lawyer caught in a recurring passage between life and death, searching for a way out of a loop shaped by memory, regret and buried trauma.
Pera Coda is built around exploration, environmental puzzles and conversations whose consequences follow you through the loop. Progress is not about defeating enemies. It is about understanding the people, places and choices that brought Deniz to this moment, and deciding what he is ready to face.
A mystery shaped by place
The streets, passages and landmarks of Istanbul are more than a backdrop. Familiar architecture is reconstructed through memory and magical realism, turning the city into a character of its own. The game draws inspiration from the psychological depth of Disco Elysium, the exploration-led mystery of Outer Wilds and the looping puzzle structure of Twelve Minutes, while building an identity rooted in Istanbul.
The title carries that same duality. Pera evokes “the other shore,” while coda is the passage that arrives after a piece appears to have ended. Together, they describe a story unfolding in the aftermath, on the far side of an ending that Deniz has not yet accepted.
